AUSKF PLAQUE AWARDED TO OMOTO SENSEI

      At the AUSKF Kendo Seminar and Shinsa held July 2/3/4 at Pacific Lutheran University, the PNKF's own beloved Kendo Kyoshi 7th Dan Rod Nobuto Omoto was honored with a recognition plaque from the AUSKF.  The plaque reads:

 

                      Rod Nobuto Omoto, Sensei In recognition for your lifetime achievements of dedication, leadership and

       contribution to the development of Kendo in the United States

                  All United States Kendo Federation

                  President:  Arthur Ichiro Murakami

                            July 3, 2010

 

The award was presented to Omoto Sensei on July 3 by Murakami Sensei.  We'd like to express our most heartfelt congratulations, admiration, and thanks to Omoto Sensei.

 

SUCCESSFUL PNKF JODO / IAIDO SEMINAR HELD

      The first PNKF Jodo Seminar was led by Robert Stroud Sensei and Marcus Phung Sensei on Sunday August 8, 2010 from 8:30-10am at Musokai Dojo.  Jodo is an officially recognized FIK art which is well-developed in the Canadian Kendo Federation, but just getting started in the AUSKF.  Stroud Sensei plans to continue fostering it in the PNKF.  He followed the Jodo introduction with an excellent Iai review from 10am-12noon.
